Q PRECIOUS & BATTERY METALS COMMENDS QUEBEC INNOVATIVE MATERIALS CORP. ON STRATEGIC MEETING WITH THE QUEBEC MINISTRY OF ECONOMY, INNOVATION AND ENERGY
Q Precious & Battery Metals Corp. commends Quebec Innovative Materials Corp.'s recent strategic meeting with the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy on Feb. 12, 2025, in Quebec City. Q Precious recently acquired the Matane hydrogen property, located in the Appalachian region of Quebec, approximately 400 kilometres northeast of Quebec City. Q Precious has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Quebec Innovative to accelerate the discovery and development of clean natural hydrogen resources in Quebec (see Q Precious news release dated Jan. 30, 2025).
The Matane hydrogen project encompasses an exploration area of significant geological interest, positioned within a transition zone between Cambro-Ordovician and Siluro-Devonian rock formations. The property spans approximately 80 claims covering 26 kilometres along the Schicksock-South fault zone, a well-defined structure with strong indicators for natural hydrogen formation.
The Matane region's unique geological setting, charactered by basaltic and peridotitic source rocks, tectonized zones and deep fault systems, presents an exceptional opportunity for hydrogen generation through oxidative hydrolysis and radiolytic reactions. The presence of porous and permeable sedimentary formations further enhances the potential for hydrogen accumulation.
The Q Precious geologic team is currently of assessing the Matane hydrogen project for potential exploration programs designed toward hydrogen discovery and processing.
Q Precious & Battery Metals exploration programs undertaken in Quebec are supervised by Dr. Mathieu Piche, OGQ, with an office located north of Val d'Or. He is also a company director. The company has a 100-per-cent interest in mineral and gas claims within Quebec.
We seek Safe Harbor.
